Privacy Policy

Blooming Good Communications (https://bloominggoodcommunications.co.uk) respects your data and privacy. The following privacy policy summarises the information that may be collected from and about you on this site, and how it will be used in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018.

General site usage (including cookies)

Blooming Good Communications uses cookies – small text files placed on your machine – to support analytics, which in turn helps me to continually improve this website. Cookies are used to provide anonymised tracking data to third party applications, in this case Google Analytics, facilitated by MonsterInsights Pro. Both are GDPR compliant.

Data collected by these tools may include (but not be limited to):

  • Pages visited
  • Referring URL and domain
  • The type of device, operating system and browser you are using
  • Your country

You may prefer to disable cookies on this site, which you can do in your browser – please see the ‘Help’ section in your browser for details of how to do so.

An SSL certificate is installed on the site for your added safety and security.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, tweets, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Leaving comments

In order to leave a comment on the blog, you are asked to leave your name and email address. Your email address will not be publically published, will not be used to contact you, and will not be added to the blog’s email list.

When you leave comments on the site, data collected includes that shown in the comments form (name and email address), and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Comments are processed by a GDPR-compliant third-party security service.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Comments on Blooming Good Communications, and all stored backups of the site, are hosted with a reputable and GDPR-compliant business host.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.

Changes to this policy

Please note that Blooming Good Communications reserves the right to amend this policy at any time in line with legislation changes and best practice, so please revisit this page for future changes.
